Data collection and qualitative surveys have been completed for all five projects sites, namely, Udaipur, Bhubaneshwar, Bangalore, Guwahati and Ludhiana. The milk samples that were collected have been safely stored in the GADVASU laboratory in Ludhiana.
The laboratory testing for Brucellosis and E. coli have been completed for Bangalore, Bhubanwswar, Ludhiana and Guwahati while that for Aflatoxin is yet to start. For Bovine Tuberculosis, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is currently undergoing standardisation. With respect to residues, laboratory testing for antibiotics has been completed for Bangalore and Guwahati while for pesticide they have been completed for Bangalore Guwahati and Ludhiana.
Fellowships for skin testing for bovine tuberculosis have been awarded at all five locations and the study will commence in the last week of April. for more updates click here.
